BNP Paribas is pleased to announce the appointment of Didier Leblanc as Head of Loan Syndication, Asia Pacific, effective June 1, 2007. He will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to Clarence T’ao, Head of Structured Finance, Asia Pacific.
Didier, who will be relocating from Paris, is currently the Head of Origination for French Corporates in the BNP Paribas’ European Loan Syndication team. Didier has been with BNP Paribas since 2001 and has contributed to BNP Paribas’ dominant position in the European loan syndication market. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Didier has garnered extensive experience in loan syndication and corporate lending, having worked in London and Paris with another international financial institution.
Commenting on this appointment, Clarence T’ao, Head of Structured Finance Asia Pacific said, “Didier’s experience in the European market and his extensive involvement in the syndication of acquisition finance transactions will further strengthen the Bank’s involvement in acquisition finance in Asia. This is especially timely as the market for acquisition finance-related transactions is growing. Didier’s appointment will further solidify BNP Paribas’ existing strong foothold as one of the top arrangers of syndicated loans in the Asia Pacific region.”
